Hello all!
This Friday (3/5/10) will be the first 2600 meeting at the AR Space. I will arrive at 1800, and stay until everyone leaves. The theme for this event will be "Finding Personal Info". I will share my collection of 98 online resources that I use to find just about anything about anyone. The presentation that I gave at the open house focused on eliminating your online info, this will focus solely on finding the info. I will begin the presentation at 1900, and hopefully it will spark some discussion and generate new info of sites that I am not aware of, and can add to my collection. I will also share digital copies of my links to anyone present.
I can not stress the following enough: This is an educational presentation about the information publicly available online. If you are coming to learn to hack into accounts and steal identities, please stay home, download Goolag from a fellow script kiddie, and patiently wait for an indictment. There is no sarcasm here, I will not tolerate phishing of info for illegal purposes.
That being said, I think it can be an exciting evening. I will discuss many ways of locating people, gathering intel for civil litigation, Harvesting MetaData from online documents, analyzing EXIF data from online photos, How Big Brother knows your every move, and how EVERYTHING you do online can haunt you. I also plan on learning a ton from all of you on techniques that you know of.
You are encouraged to bring:
Laptops
Snacks (Pizza run?)
Drinks (Booze OK 21+)
FRIENDS!
Please spread the word. If you plan on attending, an RSVP is NOT required. However, please let me know by replying to this post. If there is not much interest, I will postpone this until we move.
REQUEST: I would be truly grateful if someone wanted to volunteer and refill the propane tank so that we can have a warm meeting. I will split the cost with any superhero that is up to the challenge.

Sir Paul,
I've provided this information to the STL/USR groups (Usenix/SIGs) as well. Asked that they place it on the calendar and utilize the AR site to find out the most current information.
Also sent it out to the mailing list for the user group/special interest groups.
